It is the famous Pilgrim site inside the Jiri. Everyday hundreds of people gather and worship for health, wealth, and prosperity. Beside its religious value the natural beauty of the area is another promising attraction. Beautiful waterfall, attractive cave, singing birds and blooming rhododendron forest are mind-blowing.

According to legend, a farmer’s cow always came late from pasture and gave less milk. One day, while following the cow, the farmer saw the cow offering milk at the present Jireshwar temple. After that, it is believed that Mahadev appeared during the excavation. Based on this popular belief, Jireshwar Mahadev Templeis the closest tourist spot to Jiri, has become famous. Jireshwar Mahadev is also known as “God of Farmers”.

The temple is inside a huge guard cave above a small river, where a serpent idol is installed, and many other structures are also built. The gurgling sound of Kanchan water and chirping of birds are special attractions here. There is a religious belief that the vision of Jireshwar Mahadev will fulfill wishes and bring about the prosperity of crops and animals. A big fair is held here especially on Nag Panchami and Janai Poornima.

How to reach: It takes about 10 minutes to reach from Jiri Bazaar by vehicle. This place is quite suitable for hiking as well. It takes about 30 minutes to reach here on foot from the market.

What to bring: As it is a religious site, one can bring incense, lamps, flowers, akshata ,trishul, and offerings for worship.
