It is the highest peak to the north of Jiri valley designed as natural view point. More than dozens of mountains of Rolwaling Mountain range including Mt. Gaurishanker can be viewed from this hill. Numbur to the east, Langtang to the west and many Chinese mountains can be seen from here. Not only the mountains, spectacular view more than 80% of Dolakha’s landscape and some parts of Ramechhap, Okhaldhunga, Solukhumbu, Sindhuli, Sindhupalchowk districts can observed from this natural tower. Variety of Orchids, Rhododendrons, Medicinal plants and dense coniferous forest serves the good habitat for Musk deer, Himalayan Thar, Ghoral, Lopophorus, pheasant and many other wild animals. Mahadev temple located at the top has the cultural significance as well.
How to reach: You can reach Cheordong after walking uphill for about 6 hours from Jiri Lingan market. The dense forests of Sunkhari, Laliguras, Chimal and Thingre and the wild animals found during the Cheordong trek provide more entertainment to the journey. During the trek, you will come across the beautiful Kangse Lake. This place is mentioned above for relaxation and camping. There is also a popular belief that when the incense rises, the sky will open and rain will not fall. Cangse Lake can also be reached by motor.
What to bring: Since it is at an altitude of about 3700 meters, you should bring warm clothes (jacket, hat, muffler, shoes). As there are no hotels on the road and on the hill, dry food should be provided. Milk, mohi and churpis can be bought in the chaurigoths.
